Each event of Holy Week will begin at 10:20am in Siena Hall. Parents are welcome to attend. Year Three is leading Wednesday 28th March. 4. Showcase Night is also on Wednesday! All classrooms will be open from 6-7pm. Please remember this a time for your child to showcase their classroom and learning to you. This is not a suitable time for parent/teacher meetings. If you would like to have a meeting, please email me. 5. Friday is Good Friday which is a Public Holiday. As a result, the last day of term is Thursday. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Easter and holidays with your family. I am looking forward to Term 2 commencing again. If you are you are having trouble with number sequences please read on.This week the math task in homework involves sequencing. Students will need to follow these steps to work our the number sequence.
Example: 24, 28, __, __, 40, (___) Step 1: Find the difference between 2 numbers in the sequence (count on from 24 using fingers – 25, 26, 27, 28: the rule is add 4) or (28-24=4: the rule is add 4). Step 2: Write the rule in the brackets. Step 3: Use the rule to continue the pattern (28+4= 32, 32+4=36) Final: 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, (+4) *Please note that the tasks in the homework are in order of difficulty. There are challenge number sequences towards the bottom. Welcome to Week 9 in 3Navy :-) We are getting closer to the end of the Term, which means lots of consolidating units and completing assessment pieces. It is very important that students are here every day, to ensure that they do not miss any core content or assessment time. This week, we will also be having various activities during class and lunch time to raise money for Caritas. If you would like your child to participate, they will need to bring 50c, $1, or $2 (depending on the activity).
